Nine Cavaliers have been selected to the RSEQ D3 Football All-Star team for the 2021-22 season! The Cavaliers finished the year with a 5-3 record on the regular season, good for 3rd place in the Sud-Ouest conference, with 256 points scored over their 8 games and 216 against. Although the Cavs fell short in the play-offs after an extremely tight 38-37 loss in their 1/4 final game, the team is buoyed by their nine all-stars and is already looking forward to building on this year’s success in 2022.
The 2021-22 All-Stars from the Champlain Cavaliers are:
Academic All-Star | Nikolas Lebel: 89% academic average, highest on team from 2020-21 season.
Special Teams All-Star | Graeme Maither: Led league in punts (32/1174 yards), kick-offs (32/1624 yards), and second in field goals (6/11).
Defensive All-Star | Charles Côte: 5th in league with 28 tackles and 21 assists this past season.
Defensive All-Star | Joshua Murphy: 7th in league with 30 tackles, 14 assisted tackles, and 2 interceptions.
Defensive All-Star | François Richer: Led league with 6 sacks and had 18 tackles, 16 assists this past year.
Offensive All-Stars| Damien Chu & Jerry Smith: Both Offensive Linemen had amazing seasons, protecting their QB and giving him the space and time he needed to pass for over 2600 yards in 8 games.
Offensive All-Star | Philip Pelletier: Led league, with 191 completions for 2637 yards and 25 touchdowns.
Offensive All-Star | Zachary Cloutier: 1st in league with 73 receptions for 999 yards and 3 touchdowns.
